YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES

Sunday Morning Bible study is led by an active youth minsitry team who feels called to minister to youth through small group studies of God's word.

Oasis is our Sunday night celebration including dinner, Games, Praise band, Biblical study, discipleship, and personal discussion of the issues youth face in everyday life.

Mission Possible is our Wednesday evening gathering. After a time to unwind and spend time with friends, we learn from God's word how we are called to be on mission for Christ. We also take part in monthly local mission projects organized by a dynamic local missions lead team.

Youth music opportunities include praise band, youth choir, youth orchestra, and handbells. Each of these rehearsals occur on Sunday afternoon and are led by a gifted music team.

Ministry teams and lead teams function throughout the year. Through the giftedness and leadership of these teams, we are assured that each of our youth events and ministries are planned and implemented with success!

Our minsitry teams include Inreach, Outreach, Spiritual growth, and Missions. Lead teams function under each of these ministry teams. All of our teams are made up of youth parents, adult leaders, and youth. We sign up to serve on teams at the beginning of each church year.

The Care Group ministry is a componet of our Inreach team. Care Groups are made up of small numbers of youth and led by adult Sheperds and high-school youth Encouragers. The groups meet occasionally througout the year for fun outings, service projects, and times to just hang out. The purpose of Care Groups is to create nurturing environments where youth are encouraged, nurtured, and supported in their faith by fellow peers and adult leaders.

Youth Council is made up of youth from each grade level who are responsible for helping shape the direction of our youth ministry. The council is open to all interested youth who complete the application process and are committed to periodic meetings and leadership responsiblities.

Youth basketball league begins in December of each year. We have middle school and high school teams for guys and girls. We enjoy hitting the courts for friendly competition with area churches. Go trees!!
